At the recent 2013 BICSc Cleaner of the Year Awards held at Belfast City Hall on Friday 20th September, four of Robinson Services employees were invited, as finalists, to represent the company at this most prestigious event. Three of our finalists were shortlisted for the Retail sector: Kate McCrory, Robinson Services’ longest serving female operative from Buttercrane Shopping Centre in Newry, who was unfortunately unable to attend the event; Betty Lewis, a housekeeping operative from Ards Shopping Centre; and Maria Carser from Beggs & Partners, Newtownards. The fourth finalist was shortlisted in the Hospitality Sector, Bel Sweeney from the Giant’s Causeway Visitors Centre where she has been working as a Supervisor for the past year. We are delighted and proud to announce that Maria Carser, who also works in Ards Shopping Centre, was voted as the overall WINNER of ‘Cleaner of the Year’ in the retail category.
David Robinson, Managing Director at Robinson Services, commented;
“The BICSc Cleaner of the Year Awards recognises the fantastic work the cleaning profession continues to deliver and we are extremely proud that it has recognised the hard work and dedication of all four finalists from Robinson Services, and in particular, Maria Carser. Her outstanding win is further recognition, if any is needed, that our employees are our best asset and work to the highest standards; and I would like to personally congratulate all four of our finalists for reaching the final.”
