Whilst the Company Positioning Statement is “It’s Our Business to Support Yours” the only support for the Directors and Senior Management of Robinson Services came in the form of life jackets, helmets and instructor tutelage as they enjoyed an away day afternoon at The Belfast Activity Centre in Belfast as part of a team building exercise.
The Belfast Activity Centre is based at Barnett’s Stable Yard, Barnett’s Demesne, Belfast and is a leading Northern Ireland charity who provide a significant catalyst for youth development and leadership training within businesses and communities.
So off set the Senior Management and Head office teams from Robinson Services and Sword Security to take on a number of team building tasks under the careful tutelage of Managing Director David Robinson and a number of BAC instructors.
The teams spilt into groups and took on challenges including Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Bushcraft and Archery with varying degrees of success it transpired. Notable performers of a positive kind need to be acknowledged with David Robinson in the canoeing.. he is a ‘water baby’ after all so no surprise there, Gary O’Hagan and Ryan Quigley each took pride of place in a hotly contested archery shootout while Stephen Wood attempts to show off some ‘gnarly’ mountain biking skills resulted in calls for the medic .. that’s all we are permitted to say about Stephen as advised by our legal team!
David Robinson, Managing Director Robinson Services commented: ”We decided to have an afternoon out with a difference and the weather made the day even more enjoyable. Team building is an integral part of what makes us successful and the challenges presented on the day to the team were met with as much vigour and gusto by everyone as they do in their day to day roles within the business. Well done to all the senior management team and directors for taking part and my challenge now is how to use this learning experience in our business environment.”
