It’s a Really Big Match in The Robinson Services NCU Cricket Season This Weekend and Divided Loyalties Come into Play

It’s tight at the top of the Robinson Services Premier League with Instonians, North Down, Lisburn and It’s tight at the top of the Robinson Services Premier League with Instonians, North Down, Lisburn and Waringstown all sitting with 4 wins from 5 and Instonians on the top with a better NRR. This weekend all four teams are again in action with Carrickfergus playing Lisburn , CIYMS playing North Down, Cliftonville Academy playing Instonians and Waringstown taking on Derraghy so who know how the table will look after the matches are complete.

However, this weekend there is one big match that really matters to David Robinson, Managing Director of NCU Sponsors Robinson Services and rest assured it’s not Manchester City playing Inter Milan in the Champions League final …sorry Pep!

The match that matters to David Robinson takes place on Saturday in Senior League Section 1 at The Meadow, Dundrum where leaders Muckamore take on Dundrum.

Best David explains himself: “In my youth I was a more that capable wicketkeeper… and modest to boot … and played for Muckamore Cricket Club and still keep in touch with my former teammates and keep an eager eye out for the results come the weekend. Indeed I recently paid a visit with a few of them to Lords Cricket ground to see Ireland take on England but regrettably I did not bring Ireland much luck.

But not a lot of people know that my family hails from Dundrum so on this occasion I have to be impartial and hope that the best team wins. Nevertheless, The Robinson Services NCU season has got off to a great start and we are delighted to support the NCU and look forward to another exciting season and seeing if Lisburn can repeat their league success from last year.”
