Colman Burns, Robinson Services Security staff team member has been recognised for coming to the aid of a member of the public at Buttercrane Shopping Centre in Newry where Chris Kennedy, Security Supervisor was in the control room at the time and reported the incident to Colman.

A member of the public had appeared to become increasingly withdrawn, agitated and distressed. He had become even more so when other members of the public approached him and tried to help. Colman stepped in and using his experience gained from years in the job was able to engage with the clearly distressed gentleman and eventually bring the incident to a safe conclusion for everyone.

David Robinson, Managing Director, Robinson Services commented: ‘Colman’s speedy and delicate intervention technique was clearly of paramount importance to the safe and speedy resolution of this incident. Colman is to be commended for his quick thinking and putting some of his training for events of this nature into practice.’
