David Robinson Reaches Dizzy New Heights in Support of Belfast Activity Centre

Now ‘having his head in the clouds‘ or ‘taking a leap of faith‘ are not phrases you would normally associate with Robinson Services Managing Director David Robinson. However on Wednesday 23rd November 2016 David took time out in support of Belfast Activity Centre (BAC) with a fundraising event involving other local entrepreneurs who each committed to raising £1000 towards the cost of the AWOL project.

The challenge on the day took place in BACs Adventure Learning Park and involved reaching new heights, exploring hidden depths, the dark experience and seeing things from a new angle.
So what is AWOL? AWOL offers an equality of access and opportunity for all children and young people irrespective of their perceived ability or disability. BAC core projects and longer term programmes are prioritised children and young people with physical and mental disabilities and special learning needs and those from the most disadvantaged families socially and economically within our community.

Best let David explain further: “Firstly a BIG THANKS to everyone who donated and helped me exceed my target by raising almost £1,200 on the day as you will be helping the most vulnerable young people to realise their full potential as emerging young adults.  Secondly further thanks are needed for the team at the Belfast Activity Centre who are doing a fantastic job in helping these disadvantaged young people. The day itself was enlightening, frightening and thoroughly enjoyable all at the same time as we undertook an number of tasks throughout the day and without doubt the most terrifying was the leap of faith but exhilarating at the same time. A final thanks to all my co participants for their efforts and we are all in awe of the work that BAC do and hopefully our combined efforts will help them continue to do the fabulous work they undertake.”

Have Peace of Mind over The Festive Season with Robinson Services Drive Through Security Services

Robinson Services security division was created to add value to an existing quality service portfolio. We hold SIA approved contractor status for the provision of security guarding, keyholding and CCTV. The company achieved SIA (ACS) accreditation at the introduction of SIA legislation into Northern Ireland and at present the score achieved in the independent audit carried out annually place Robinson Services in the top 10% of all security companies audited throughout the UK.

Our expertise in people management together with a highly skilled and enthusiastic management team will ensure that our service professionals deliver tangible benefits and are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to provide security solutions that deliver genuine value for money.

One service that offers clear value for money is our Security Guard Drive Through Patrol Service. of particular use over the Festive season when many commercial premises and offices may be left unattended.

Our Drive-through security patrols serve a very useful purpose. Our drive-through patrol service does not remain on-site and generally uses a vehicle to make the rounds. This type of patrol is less expensive then a dedicated on-site security guard because of the limited time spent on the property. Highly visible, drive-through security services are ideal for the patrol of commercial properties after business hours or on private property not open to the public.

Our Drive through service observes or tests all accessible gates, doors, and windows and makes sure they are secured and can report the conditions found on the property to the business owner or the police. Another purpose is to make sure no unauthorized persons are trespassing on private property. If you wish our drive-through security services may also respond to alarm signals, but this requires a more specialized guard force.

The primary goal of our drive-through security patrol service is to deter property loss and discover vandalism after business hours and this presence can if required be supported by signage that states the property will be patrolled by “Robinson Security Services.”

Our Drive-through security patrols are highly visible, high profile, and distinctive in appearance. Our security vehicles are well-marked and equipped with a light-bar on the roof and high-powered spotlights. This high visibility maximizes the deterrent effect

Our Drive Through Security Service can be tailored to your needs so give us a call to see how we can help you have peace of mind over the Christmas Period on 029 9442 9717 or by email to

On Saturday 5 November a group of Robinson Services Security Officers attended a World Host, Principles of  Customer Care Training session. The training was designed for officers deployed in a Front of House Customer Service role, officers that are in contact with customers, clients and members of the public throughout their day, World-class Customer Service is traditionally defined as the ability to meet or exceed a customer’s expectations.
