Robinson Services Delighted to Support Antrim Summer Festival 2017

Congratulations to Peter Jebb, Security Officer at The Meadows Shopping Centre who was recently awarded the inaugural David Robinson Recognition Award for 2016

Peter recently assisted in preventing a suicide whilst on duty at The Meadows Shopping Centre Portadown. Pictured centre, receiving his certificate and £100 gift voucher from David Robinson Managing Director and Gary Wilson Key Account Manager.

David Robinson Commented,  appreciation is a fundamental human need, employees respond to appreciation expressed through recognition of their good work because it confirms their work is valued.  Employees want to be respected and valued for their contribution and I am naturally delighted to be in a position to acknowledge Peter’s contribution and thank him personally for such a selfless act.

Robinson Services appointed to clean 109 Danske Bank ATMs

Robinson Services are delighted to undertake a one off clean at all 109 off-site Danske Bank ATMs. This work will involve an intensive clean of  the monitor, key pad,  light box and other peripherals including the ATM signage surrounds along with canopies. We will use specialist chemicals and techniques to clean and sanitise the ATMs, reducing the risk of cross-contamination and ultimately improving the ATM appearance.

David Robinson Managing Director commented : “On the approach to Christmas and the usage of ATM machines at its highest, it is important that each unit remains clean and presentable. The detailed cleaning regime agreed with Danske Bank will ensure that card users receive a positive experience at the ATMs in preparation for the high transaction activity expected during December.”

David Robinson Reaches Dizzy New Heights in Support of Belfast Activity Centre

Now ‘having his head in the clouds‘ or ‘taking a leap of faith‘ are not phrases you would normally associate with Robinson Services Managing Director David Robinson. However on Wednesday 23rd November 2016 David took time out in support of Belfast Activity Centre (BAC) with a fundraising event involving other local entrepreneurs who each committed to raising £1000 towards the cost of the AWOL project.

The challenge on the day took place in BACs Adventure Learning Park and involved reaching new heights, exploring hidden depths, the dark experience and seeing things from a new angle.
So what is AWOL? AWOL offers an equality of access and opportunity for all children and young people irrespective of their perceived ability or disability. BAC core projects and longer term programmes are prioritised children and young people with physical and mental disabilities and special learning needs and those from the most disadvantaged families socially and economically within our community.

Best let David explain further: “Firstly a BIG THANKS to everyone who donated and helped me exceed my target by raising almost £1,200 on the day as you will be helping the most vulnerable young people to realise their full potential as emerging young adults.  Secondly further thanks are needed for the team at the Belfast Activity Centre who are doing a fantastic job in helping these disadvantaged young people. The day itself was enlightening, frightening and thoroughly enjoyable all at the same time as we undertook an number of tasks throughout the day and without doubt the most terrifying was the leap of faith but exhilarating at the same time. A final thanks to all my co participants for their efforts and we are all in awe of the work that BAC do and hopefully our combined efforts will help them continue to do the fabulous work they undertake.”

Robinson Services awarded contract to provide cleaning services to The George Best Belfast City Airport

Northern Ireland’s leading support services business, Robinson Services has been awarded the contract to provide cleaning services to The George Best Belfast City Airport by Graham Facilities Management.  The contract commenced on 1 September 16 and will run for a period of 2 years.

The services provided will include terminal cleaning and housekeeping, washroom, laundry, grounds maintenance and window cleaning. With significant emphasis placed on training packages that are regulated by both Airport Standards and The Department for Transport, it is imperative that the selection and induction process attract and retain the right people, with the right blend of skills and experience. The Robinson Services team will consist of 15 dedicated housekeeping operatives, with a sole focus on delivering a customer focused, safe and clean environment for the fifty thousand passengers that pass through the airport each week.

The Training Continues at Robinson Services with World Host Principles of Customer Care Training Programme

On Saturday 5 November a group of Robinson Services Security Officers attended a World Host, Principles of  Customer Care Training session. The training was designed for officers deployed in a Front of House Customer Service role, officers that are in contact with customers, clients and members of the public throughout their day, World-class Customer Service is traditionally defined as the ability to meet or exceed a customer’s expectations. At Robinson Services we are constantly striving to be the “best in class”, by delivering ongoing training that allows our officers to develop the correct skill set that enables them to undertake a greater variety of work in a competent professional manner.

Northern Ireland’s Leading Support Services Business Secures 3 year contract to provide Cleaning Services to Queen’s University Belfast

Queen’s University Belfast has awarded a 3 year contract to Robinson Services to provide the cleaning services to approximately 40% of the university campus. The contract involves the provision of cleaning and laundry services to some of the  most interesting and iconic buildings in Northern Ireland. The contract commenced on 9 July 16 and will run concurrently for a period of 3 years.
Queen’s University Belfast is steeped in heritage yet benefits from world-class, state-of-the-art facilities and Robinson Services are proud to have an association with such a high profile centre of excellence . Under the contract, which runs until 2019, Robinson Services will provide specialised services to ensure the 3700 employees and 25,000  undergraduate/postgraduate students receive the highest possible hygiene standards.
