Team Robinson Services Tri Their Very Best at Portballintrae Ultra Sprint Distance Team Triathlon

Happy competitors from Team Beam after completing the Portballintrae Ultra Sprint Distance Team Triathlon. 
Now we all know that the Robinson Services place a great emphasis on training and that the Senior Managers tend to lead from the front when it comes to this important part of the success achieved by Robinson Services in the Support Services Sector.
However did you also know that they often outside work put this training into practice in aid of worthy local charities.
On this occasion on  Saturday 23 June 2018 the challenge in front of Team Robinson Services was the Portballintrae Ultra Sprint Distance Team Triathlon.  As well as being one of the main sponsors of the 750 metre swim, 20km cycle and 7.5km run Robinson Services decided to go the extra mile – excuse the pun – and enter a team.

Team Robinson Services comprised Anthony Best , Managing Director Lacuna Developments, David Robinson , Managing Director Robinson Services and Sinead Sharpe, Human Resources Director at Robinson Services who were competing to raise money for two worthy local Charities- Sports Academy George and Cancer Fund for Children.

After weeks of dedicated training it was the day of reckoning on Saturday 23 June and there was no going back.
Anthony Best entered the bay at Portballintrae Harbour and swam his heart out for 750 metres before making his way up the jetty and passing on his timing chip to David Robinson.
Heading out towards Bushmills onto the undulating White Park Road and turning left just before Dunserverick it was Blood, Sweat and lots of Gears for David. He followed the Coast Road but there was no time for sightseeing as he returned via the descent into Bushmills . It was the home straight now as he pushed his pedals all the way along the Ballaghmore Road to transition and handing their timing chip to Sinead Sharpe.
Sinead faced a challenging yet spectacular 7.5km run hugging the coastal clifftop path beyond Runkerry Strand. She embraced the odd steep climb with ease and pushed on through the pain barrier as she eventually arrived at the Giants Causeway Visitor Centre. This soon became a place in the distance as Sinead powered on via the tramline path  before crossing the boardwalk over the River Bush. Motoring up the hill to the car park Sinead brought her team home in a credible time by finishing at the boat club.

Robinson Services maintains its position in the Top 50 Largest Employers in Northern Ireland.

For the second  year in a row Robinson Services has featured in The Belfast Telegraph top 50 largest employers in Northern Ireland. New business opportunities with Northern Ireland Electricity, Randox Laboratories and Belfast Metropolitan College has seen our position change from 34th to 33rd, representing a 9% increase in employee numbers. Whilst not measured by employee numbers, we have also enjoyed increased growth from within our laundry and hygiene businesses.

Robinson Services pick up British Security Industry Award for the Third Successive Year.

Congratulations to the security team at Foyleside Shopping Centre, who have been awarded the Regional British Security Team of the year for 2018. The British Security Awards celebrate the achievements made by security officers and teams throughout the UK, as well as acknowledging the career-long contributions made by long-serving industry stalwarts. Industry exemplars are recognised in the following categories: Security Personnel, Security Business, Apprentice Installer, Chairman’s Award and the SaferCash sponsored Bravery Award.

The Robinson Services Management team head to “ The Jungle”

On Tuesday 10 April, the Robinson Services management team packed their bags, closed down their laptops, switched off their phones, disabled all wi-fi connections and headed to Ireland’s largest outdoor activity centre.

The Jungle NI, located on the outskirts of Magherafelt was the setting for a team building day with a difference. The Jungle has a significant history of successfully facilitating unforgettable and highly effective corporate entertainment and teambuilding events. The Jungle’s mentally stimulating and physical challenge was just what the management team needed.

Robinson Services Awarded Simon Community Cleaning Contract

It really wasn’t that simple, as Robinson Services are awarded the contract to provide cleaning services for The Northern Ireland Simon Community.

Robinson Services are delighted to announce the award of the contract to provide cleaning services to The Simon Community. The contract involves the provision of services to 21 sites throughout Northern Ireland. With the number of people sleeping rough on the increase it is important that Robinson Services can support organisations who are constantly striving for preventative solutions to this ever increasing social problem.

Northern Cricket Union Bowled over with Three Year Sponsorship Deal with Robinson Services


The country’s biggest cricket league is to be sponsored by one of the country’s biggest employers. Robinson Services , one of Northern Ireland’s largest Support Services providers with its Head office in Antrim and other satellite offices in Belfast has announced it is lending its name to the Northern Cricket Union’s Premier and Senior Leagues in a sponsorship deal over the next three years. Robinson Service will also sponsor the awards to players who score a century, take six wickets or perform a hat trick.

It’s not surprising that Robinson Services have chosen to support the Northern Cricket Union. The four divisions of the company’s business which David Robinson , Managing Director at Robinson Services describes as ‘a winning batting order ’ – Cleaning, Hygiene, Security and Laundry – rely on the same qualities for success as in any team sport: commitment, passion, talent, and excellence.

National Success for Robinson Services at the 2017 Loo of the Year Awards.

2017 has once again proven a very successful year for Robinson Services at the Loo of the Year Awards. On the back of our 11 platinum and 2 gold standard awards, we have enjoyed national recognition in a number of different categories. The annual Loo of the Year Awards competition, now in its 30th year has helped focus the spotlight on ‘away from home’ amenities. It is now considered as ‘the washroom standard’ and the Awards are supported by national tourism bodies throughout the UK.
