We were represented in three categories that included retail, education and office. The event was well attended with BICSc CEO Stan Atkins and Belfast Lord Mayor Nuala McAllister in attendance who both reiterated the important contribution that professionally trained cleaning operatives provide to the economy and  the environment.

Sinead Sharpe HR Director commented.  “I am delighted to see so many cleaning operatives here in such an iconic building to receive recognition and their awards for what traditionally has been a low key industry. It is particularly pleasing for me to witness The Robinson Services employees once again receive awards for service excellence, as I am very conscious of the long hours of relentless training that takes place to ensure our employees  achieve the high standard stipulated by The British Institute of Cleaning Services.”

Long-serving staff from Robinson Services Laundry Division, who have been with the company for ten years or more, recently took part in a special presentation hosted by David Robinson in celebration of their dedicated service to Robinson Services.

At the presentation, held at the state of the art Laundry Division factory in Antrim there was lots of reminiscing and funny stories were told; journeying back even to a time when the staff worked in Waveney Laundry in Ballymena, before it was bought over by Robinson Services and the name subsequently changed when relocating to the new £2m investment in Antrim.

David Robinson, Managing Director of Robinson Services, commented;

“The four staff in attendance here today total a staggering combined 70 years’ service, a truly monumental figure!  The staff who attended the presentation range from all different roles within the laundry team and I would personally like to congratulate them all once more on their respective milestones within the company.  One of our longest-serving Laundry members, Pamela Fullerton, has clocked up a staggering 30 years of service to Robinson Services, and to her in particular, I wanted to show my gratitude.  Coming up close behind him is Jennifer Jackson who is in her 20th year at the Laundry!  Jason Mitchell has been working in the Laundry for 10 years as has Linda McKendry   Each and every one of our Laundry family are key members of our smooth-running operation and I want them all to know that their work is very much appreciated.  We wish them many more years of dedication to follow.”

Congratulations to the Robinson Services staff at Foyleside Shopping Centre for demonstrating exceptional customer service

Congratulations are in order to the Robinson Services staff at Foyleside Shopping Centre, who were recently commended by Lambert Smith Hampton for demonstrating exceptional customer service in their various roles.

In these tough times for retailers, clients are more and more likely to reject bad service when a competitor in particular can offer the same service and price without the hassle. Our clients can no longer view customer service as an option and providing a positive retail customer experience is vital. A coherent and successful customer service model is the differentiating factor between a successful and unsuccessful business

Sinead Sharpe HR Director commented: “ I am naturally delighted with The Robinson Services Team once again receiving recognition for demonstrating ‘world class service’ to our retail customers.Customer experience is important to every industry, but particularly vital within Shopping Centres . Fierce competition, exacerbated by the rise of ecommerce, means it is increasingly important for the Centres to differentiate themselves .  Our employees can impact directly on the customer experience and ensuring our teams are trained to the required standard is always at the forefront of our solution”
