Northern Cricket Union Bowled over with Three Year Sponsorship Deal with Robinson Services

The country’s biggest cricket league is to be sponsored by one of the country’s biggest employers. Robinson Services , one of Northern Ireland’s largest Support Services providers with its Head office in Antrim and other satellite offices in Belfast has announced it is lending its name to the Northern Cricket Union’s Premier and Senior Leagues in a sponsorship deal over the next three years. Robinson Service will also sponsor the awards to players who score a century, take six wickets or perform a hat trick.

It’s not surprising that Robinson Services have chosen to support the Northern Cricket Union. The four divisions of the company’s business which David Robinson , Managing Director at Robinson Services describes as ‘a winning batting order ’ – Cleaning, Hygiene, Security and Laundry – rely on the same qualities for success as in any team sport: commitment, passion, talent, and excellence.

David Robinson Managing Director,Robinson Services had this to say on the Sponsorship agreement:
“There are many parallels between Robinson Services and sport in relation to the people we work with. We both rely on experience and expertise to train staff and players to the highest standard, featuring the latest techniques and with trained staff offering support at all times.
Such dedicated training of our staff has produced a sports style work-rate for Robinson Services and delighted our top clients including  Forestside Shopping Centre, McDonalds, Tesco, Lisney Belfast and The National Trust. The company continues to go from strength to strength, and along with Alan Waite, Chairman Northern Cricket Union  we hope that our support for the Northern Cricket Union will yield a successful  3 year period  for both parties involved in the partnership.”
 Alan Waite, Chairman, Northern Cricket Union commented further :
“We would like to thank Robinson Services for their fantastic support and it it was David’s  love affair with cricket — he was once captain and a very capable wicket-keeper of the 3rd XI at Muckamore Cricket Club – his words not mine –  and is now a trustee of the Muckamore club —  that has led to today’s sponsorship deal for the Northern Cricket Union’s premier and senior leagues. We know as a company Robinson Services are keen to support community projects such as Antrim Festival in addition to sponsorship of many local sports teams . We are delighted with this sponsorship and we look forward to working with Robinson Services over the next three years.”

Congratulations to Our Five 2017 British Institute of Cleaning Science Finalists

Congratulations to the five Robinson Services employees that made it through to the final stages of the 2017 British Institute of Cleaning Services Awards. We were represented in three categories that included retail, education and office. The BICSc award ceremony took place in Belfast City Hall on Thursday 7 September and is one of the few ‘must-attend’ events in the cleaning and FM calendar. The event was well attended with BICSc CEO Stan Atkins and Belfast Lord Mayor Nuala McAllister in attendance who both reiterated the important contribution that professionally trained cleaning operatives provide to the economy and  the environment.

Sinead Sharpe HR Director commented.  “I am delighted to see so many cleaning operatives here in such an iconic building to receive recognition and their awards for what traditionally has been a low key industry. It is particularly pleasing for me to witness The Robinson Services employees once again receive awards for service excellence, as I am very conscious of the long hours of relentless training that takes place to ensure our employees  achieve the high standard stipulated by The British Institute of Cleaning Services.”

Congratulations to Eugene McReynolds who has been awarded the August 2017 David J Robinson award for outstanding contribution to the business.

We had a fantastic list of employees shortlisted for this award and the senior team were left with a very difficult decision whilst selecting the overall winner. Eugene is a very worthy winner and we all appreciate his contribution on the night shift in the laundry.

All Washed Up? Not a Chance as Laundry Division Staff Celebrate 70 Years of Experience

Long-serving staff from Robinson Services Laundry Division, who have been with the company for ten years or more, recently took part in a special presentation hosted by David Robinson in celebration of their dedicated service to Robinson Services.

At the presentation, held at the state of the art Laundry Division factory in Antrim there was lots of reminiscing and funny stories were told; journeying back even to a time when the staff worked in Waveney Laundry in Ballymena, before it was bought over by Robinson Services and the name subsequently changed when relocating to the new £2m investment in Antrim.

David Robinson, Managing Director of Robinson Services, commented;

“The four staff in attendance here today total a staggering combined 70 years’ service, a truly monumental figure!  The staff who attended the presentation range from all different roles within the laundry team and I would personally like to congratulate them all once more on their respective milestones within the company.  One of our longest-serving Laundry members, Pamela Fullerton, has clocked up a staggering 30 years of service to Robinson Services, and to her in particular, I wanted to show my gratitude.  Coming up close behind him is Jennifer Jackson who is in her 20th year at the Laundry!  Jason Mitchell has been working in the Laundry for 10 years as has Linda McKendry   Each and every one of our Laundry family are key members of our smooth-running operation and I want them all to know that their work is very much appreciated.  We wish them many more years of dedication to follow.”
